Bid Thee Farwell
Well a month has past and the time to say farewell has arrived. But before all that mushie stuff we shall talk about the last few things we here at COMV finished up before my departure.
First we will talk about a few updates we did to the site. We updated a large chunk of the coding to make the website more compatible with other browsers and also to decrease load times (Especially on the videos). So hopefully as you browse the site you may notice things load a little faster. If you notice a change we did our job, if not...sorry?
The most noticeable change to the site is the way you now view all of COMV's short films and extras. We wanted to cut down on the confusion of tons of little popup pages and we also wanted the videos to be a lot more accessible than they were before. That's when we came upon the idea of using what some may call the "Page overlay thingy with the transparent background that looks all pretty and stuff." To get this to work we had to change a lot of the coding so if you experience any problems with the site just press "F5" and that should clear up your problem.
But enough about all that boring stuff let's get to the things you have been waiting years for. Remember all that talk about t-shirts in last month's update? Well we carried through on our promise (that makes 2/56 promises) and we bring to you the OFFICIAL COMV STORE. Check it out, buy something, if you can't afford one copy a picture of the t-shirt, print it out on an 8x11 piece of paper and tape it onto your own shirt. Whatever you do just make sure to keep on supporting COMV, we may be taking a two year long brake but we are goanna come back with a punch in the face, so don't forget us.
Now you may still be asking yourself "Wait, only one person is leaving for two years. Why is the whole company taking a break? " Well the reason is I (Weston Childers the presidents of COMV) am the webmaster for comv.org . So the other people in the company will still be working on some miscellaneous projects that relate to COMV, but that work will not be noted on the site because I won't be there to update it. So what does this mean for the update when I DO return from Mexico City? Well it means you loyal fans will be given a generous amount of new concept art for Safe Haven, maybe a few various video projects, and most likely a documentarish video on my two year stay in Mexico City (If anybody really cares).
But until then you will just have to be satisfied with the 28 videos we have for you viewing pleasure. If you're really depressed go over to the extras page and make sure you watch all the bloopers. If you're really bored watch all of The Making Of's. And if you're feeling down about your movie making techniques watch all of our OLD videos and you will realize just how much we sucked. But while you're keeping yourself busy, this is Weston Childers on behalf of COMV: productions signing out (But just for two years)
