Up and Running...Again?

      Well where should I start? Well I am 6 feet 3 inches tall and I like long walks on the beach with donkeys, and I am a nerd...AND THAT IS WHY YOU ARE READING THIS...for the nerdy things we (we as in comv) do. So what new nerdy things have we been up to? Starters. Website. Didn't notice, your must blind, I would go see a doctor for that. Movies. I hope you noticed that, it's kind of big, and on the home page. So let's get started.

      Well our server died back in April of 2007 (as I recall). At the time I really didn't want to even bother with putting it back up, until two or three days later I started getting calls from all my friends. What where these calls about you may ask? Well they were about the site, everyone and their pet squirrel wanted to know why it was down, when it will be back up, so on so forth. That is when it occurred to me that people actually look at our site.

      Well I told myself I would put it back up, but then as usual other stuff came up and the website stayed on my hard drive, all alone. Well somewhere along the line I had a few friends ask me to design some new websites for them, and while I was designing those websites, I happened to take a gander at my own. It was then when I realized, hey I know some new stuff, new coding, new design, lets re-make the re-make of the re-make. So I began.

      The first priority of the new site was organization. Although the 2006 version of the site was a massive upgrade in organization from the 2005 version, but its still was too confusing. Second was design, I wanted it to look better, I mean what else can you say about design? The third and final objective was to add more content, lots more. If you head over to the cinema section and browse around a little, you will notice that we have ALL of comv's old movies, minus two (so not really all, but who cares). Those two, well we don't talk about those two? Alan Smithee made those, te he. Not only do we have our movies, we also have the bonus features for those movie. We have the making of's, the bloopers, and even our non-movie shorts. You can check that all out on our extras page. And the best part about the movies is...they are bigger, so now you dont have to stare at a small little box, you get to stare at a decently sized box...oh yes the way they where meant to be seen! And that pretty much covers the done stuff, but what about the undone stuff? Well the forum is gone for now, I am leaving to a foreign land for two years, and I won't be able to monitor the forum for all those spammers out there, so its gone, till I get back. The projects page? Well it will be up, it's just taking some time, but don't fret my dears, she will be done.

      Movies? Or should I say movie? Well Faded the newest addition to COMV's collection is now on the web for all to see. It's won a few film festivals (small ones, nothing to get all hokey pokey over) and has gotten great reviews by all who see. And all of us who had a part in making this film couldn't be happier with it. Curious as to how we did it?       But that's pretty much it, there may be a new movie in the next few months, but don't bet your youngest child on it. Until then, browse the site I guess?
